LOW CARB, LOW FAT... NORMAL EATING - WHAT IS THAT?
To say that nutritional recommendations for wellness are constantly
changing would certainly not be an overstatement of the truth.
Contradictory
epidemiological and scientific findings over the past decade have
resulted
in a plethora of confusing and conflicting information for
practitioners
and the general public alike and a seemingly endless deluge of fad
diets
with little scientific foundation or documented efficacy. This workshop
will focus on the concept of “Normal Eating” and how this approach can
cut through the confusion and misinformation that abounds in nutrition
to help people develop a more peaceful and healthful relationship with
food. The science supporting the use of internal regulation of food
intake
by humans will be examined and applications for wellness professionals
in a wide variety of fields will be explored.
